Tourism is a powerful engine for the global economy and is driving the development and prosperity of many developing countries by providing millions of job opportunities and creating new jobs to meet the rapid growth in global tourism. The Jordanian tourism sector is the second largest contributor to the Kingdom’s gross national product and provides approximately 55 thousand jobs in various tourism sectors, of which approximately 77% work in hotels and restaurants. It is expected that this number will grow over the next five years at a rate of 3000 jobs annually.

The Faculty of Dentistry was established at Al-Ahliyya Amman University in 2023 in line with the university’s directions to achieve academic excellence and to achieve the university’s vision to include within its schools a leading school for dental education and research at the local and international levels. The Faculty of Dentistry has taken upon itself to graduate generations of dentists who enjoy scientific, moral and societal responsibility and are equipped with the scientific knowledge and practical and clinical experiences that enable them to practice dentistry at the highest levels of quality.

FACULTY OF GRADUATE STUDIES

In the beginning of the academic year 2018-2019, the Faculty of Graduate Studies became an independent faculty after it had been previously integrated with the Deanship of Scientific Research. The first Master Program was offered in the academic year 2005-2006 in Law after which other MA programs have been offered. Today, ten different faculties at Al-Ahliyya Amman University offer a total of twenty Master Degree programs and one High Diploma program.

DEANSHIP OF SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH

The Deanship of Scientific Research was established in 2005. It shoulders the responsibility of overseeing the development of basic and applied research. In 2018/2019, it became separated from Graduate Studies to focus on its vision and mission to upgrade the level and quality of scientific research toward internationalization at Al-Ahliyya Amman University (AAU).

DEANSHIP OF STUDENT AFFAIRS

The Deanship of Student Affairs was established as the Student Affairs Department in 1990. Then, it changed to the Deanship of Student Affairs at the beginning of the academic year 1993/1994 to formulate plans, initiate programs, and organize activities that encourage students to discover their talents, personal skills, and potential. Moreover, it is committed to supporting the students in its quest to create a productive, disciplined, and God-believing generation that values its host country, its language, cultural identity, and legacy.
