Master


The Master's Program in Sport Sciences seeks to enrich knowledge related to the experiences and skills of students studying in the program in practice. It also seeks to prepare specialized cadres in sports sciences with applied, research, and administrative capabilities in the field of sports sciences, and to network and partner with local community institutions, academic institutions, clubs, sports federations, and sports media to achieve development in various sports fields. In addition, the program features three different sports science sub-disciplines that students have to choose from: Strength Training and Physical Conditioning, Sports Facility Management and Marketing, and Clinical Sports Psychology.

 

Educational Objectives

  • Qualify and empower students with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to keep pace with the scientific and technological developments in the field of sports science.
  • Develop physical performance assessment skills for athletes necessary to design, implement, and evaluate strength and conditioning training programs.
  • Foster the administrative and marketing skills needed to design, implement, and evaluate programs, activities, and events in sport facilities.
  • Cultivate psychological assessment and diagnostic skills necessary for developing mental health programs for athletes.
  • Enhance research skills and the use of research methodologies and tools needed to enhance the understanding of sports science and develop scientific practice in this field.
  • Develop critical and creative thinking skills, use technology, and integrate various knowledge to innovatively solve problems and face challenges in the field of sports science.
  • Strengthen communication skills, teamwork, lifelong learning, and professional development to keep pace with developments in the field of sports science and contribute to its progress.

 

Learning Outcomes

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of principles and theories in various fields of sports science, including strength training and physical conditioning, sports facilities management and marketing, and clinical sport psychology.
  • Critically analyze and evaluate the latest trends, technologies, and innovations in the field of sports science.
  • Demonstrate critical and creative thinking skills in analyzing problems and investigating issues related to various fields of sports science.
  • Employ scientific research methodologies and tools in designing studies and evaluating theoretical and applied research to provide recommendations for solving problems related to sports science.
  • Utilize modern technological tools and skills to design and innovate solutions that contribute to solving complex problems that may be faced in different professional situations in the context of sports science, and converting these solutions into best practices.
  • Integrate knowledge from various fields of sports science to analyze and understand sports phenomena comprehensively, and applies this knowledge in a variety of contexts related to sports training and improving high-level athletic performance.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and assessments to evaluate athletes' physical performance, and design, implement, and evaluate suitable physical training programs to enhance strength and physical conditioning.
  • Utilize administrative and marketing techniques and skills to design, implement, and evaluate programs, activities, and events in sport institutions and facilities.
  • Use psychological assessment and diagnostic measures to design, implement, and evaluate specialized psychological intervention programs for athletes to prevent and treat psychological disorders and improve athletic performance.
  • Commit to lifelong learning and contributes to professional knowledge growth in sports science fields using modern technology and digital databases.
