The Faculty of Business at Al-Ahliyya Amman University is keen to keep pace with technical progress and offer distinct specializations that focus on the use of information technology in the business environment, such as the business and e-commerce major, which clarifies the basic concepts of e-business and e-commerce, various electronic business models; The internal and external factors affecting the adoption and promotion of business in the context of the electronic business environment and identifying the methods of continuous employment for the development of electronic media in the service of the business environment.

The E-Business and Commerce program consists of 132 credit hours. The duration of the specialization is four years of full-time study. The study plan consists of 48 credit hours that cover the requirements of the university and the compulsory requirements of the college, while it consists of 84 credit hours distributed between the compulsory specialization requirements, the supporting materials for the specialization in addition to the optional specialization requirements.

  • PEO1.Provide students with the ability to have wide knowledge in the basic concepts of business and employ that in the real life.
  • PEO2.Contribution in developing the Business and Electronic Commerce uses, reflecting the harmony with the contemporary environment.
  • PEO3.Provide the labor market with qualified cadres have an integrated structure of skills and knowledge which qualifies them to be at the forefront of competitors.
  • PEO4.Enable students to develop alternatives and discriminate between them as well as choose the best alternative using the Electronic Business forms.

  • Define the fundamental concepts of electronic business/commerce applications and identify both current and future trends.
  • Define the benefits, risks, costs and time-scales linked to new strategic electronic business/commerce.
  • Outline the role of emerging information technologies in integrating electronic systems in an organization.
  • Discuss legal, security, privacy ethical, political and infrastructure issues of existing electronic business/commerce applications.
  • Apply the key processes for the development and implementation of electronic commerce web/mobile applications.
  • Distinguish the major revenue models of electronic commerce/business.

  • Evaluate the requirements of e-commerce users.
