Program Description
Tourism is a powerful engine for the global economy and is driving the development and prosperity of many developing countries by providing millions of job opportunities and creating new jobs to meet the rapid growth in global tourism.
The Jordanian Tourism Sector is the second largest contributor to the kingdom’s gross national product and provides approximately 55 thousand jobs in various tourism sectors of which 77% work in hotels and restaurants and its expected that this number will grow over the next five years at a rate of 3000 jobs annually.
In terms of AAU response to the needs of the economic and administrative sectors and its responsibility to prepare trained and qualified human resources capable of achieving competiveness at the local and global level, the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts Program has been developed in cooperation with Movenpick Hotels and Resorts to meet the needs of the sector by providing leaders capable of raising high quality standards, hospitality services and culinary arts that meet the high expectations of the tourists and the local community and providing job opportunities for the youth not only locally but also at the regional and global levels .
