The Optometry Program is unique in that it is the first and only program at the level of private universities in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, and the department was created as one of the departments of the College of Allied Medical Sciences in 2015. The department awards a bachelor’s degree in optometry upon the successful completion of (132) credit hours distributed over four academic years. The Department of Optometry was established to provide the opportunity for its graduates to work in optical centers, ophthalmology centers and optometry centers, in addition to eye clinics in hospitals.

Admission requirements of the Bachelor degree in the Optometry Science program include a High School Certificate or equivalent in the following:
