The Department of Multimedia and Graphic Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design holds a workshop titled “Islamic Decorative Arts in the Dome of the Rock Architecture”

The Department of Multimedia and Graphic Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design at Al-Ahliyya Amman University held a workshop entitled "Islamic Decorative Arts in the Dome of the Rock Architecture" for the staff of the Manuscripts Center and Al-Aqsa Mosque Library on Microsoft Teams, on Saturday, 31 Dec 2022. The workshop was presented by Dr. Faten Al-Jazzar, Head of the Multimedia and Graphic Design Department, and included the basics of drawing geometric motifs, the art of (Geometry) and its presence in nature and its importance in Islamic architecture and decoration in addition to its importance in the architecture of the Dome of the Rock in particular. The workshop was attended by a number of employees of the Manuscripts Center and the library of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque. This workshop comes in line with the objectives of the faculty in providing consultations that serve the regional community and contribute to emphasizing the presence of Al-Ahliyya Amman University in various institutions.
