The Advisory Board of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences holds its first meeting

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences held its first advisory board meeting headed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Ruba Al-Batayneh, on Tuesday, 17 Jan 2023, and attended by a number of representatives of the local community and employers, a group of faculty graduates, and a group of its students, as well as members of the administrative and teaching staff, in which the Dean of the Faculty welcomed the members of the Council and expressed the importance of the advisory council, which aims to identify the issues of students and graduates, and their future aspirations, and to build bridges of partnership with the local community and employers to enhance effective partnerships between the university and the local community. During the meeting, the Vice Dean for Accreditation and Quality Affairs presented the faculty’s work plan for the academic year 2022-2023 and the achievements of the first semester, as well as the faculty’s activities related to community service. The members of the Council discussed the suggestions of bachelor and master degree graduates, and also discussed the educational outcomes of academic programs and received suggestions to update them in line with the developments of the labor market and descriptors of the National Qualifications Framework in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. The meeting resulted in some decisions regarding field training for students of Psychology and Clinical Psychology, English Language and Translation.
