Lecture on the exchange of knowledge and experiences for faculty members and graduate students
Under the patronage of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Tanani, and organized by Dr. Naim Shaalan, Head of the Department of Pharmaceutics and Technology, and as part of the series of lectures "Exchange of knowledge and experiences for faculty members and graduate students", Dr. Salah Al-Din Al-Buhaisi delivered a lecture entitled “Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality” on Thursday, 5 Jan 2023 in the auditorium of the Faculty of Business, in the presence of a large number of faculty members and graduate students of the faculty.
Dr. Salah gave an introductory lecture on the importance of “Quality in Healthcare Systems”, which included all the details necessary to provide the best health service to patients, including direct services delivered to the patient such as ensuring safety, and indirect services such as the appropriate environment for providing the service or medical records.
He also provided a comprehensive explanation of the CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) certificate, course and exam, which qualifies and provides the medical care provider (doctor, nurse, pharmacist, laboratory technician, and others) with the information and skills necessary to design and provide the best medical service in the field of specialization, in addition to clarifying the mechanism of studying and taking the CPHQ exam and obtaining the license and accreditation by international institutions, which qualifies the holder of the certificate to work in medical institutions in various countries of the world.
It is noteworthy that Dr. Salah Al-Din holds a master's degree in molecular genetics with 27 years of experience in the field of medical laboratories, quality management and scientific research, and holds the American Board of Medical Laboratories. He is the former director of the laboratories of the King Hussein Cancer Center and a former member of the management team of the American Jordanian Board of Medical Laboratories, as well as an advisor to the Jordanian Health Care Accreditation Council and an inspector of the American College of Pathology in a number of Arab countries, as well as a member of the International Association of Blood Bank Services and a member of the American Association of Blood Bank Services and a member of the American Association of Blood Transfusion, and a committee member of the American Medical Standards Association.
