Workshop Titled “Safe and Integrated Nutrition for Patients: From Food to Healing”
The Health Training Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in cooperation with the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, organized a free workshop titled “Safe and Integrated Nutrition for Patients: From Food to Healing.” The workshop was delivered by Engineer Farida Obeid from the Faculty of Agricultural Technology, and targeted students of the Faculty of Nursing and other health-related faculties.
The workshop aimed to raise participants’ awareness of the importance of proper and balanced nutrition in supporting patients’ health and accelerating recovery, while highlighting the principles of therapeutic nutrition and its role in enhancing quality of life. Topics covered included food safety in healthcare institutions, interactions between food and medication, and the role of nutrition in immunity and healing.
The event witnessed remarkable engagement from students and attendees, who emphasized the importance of such scientific activities in bridging theoretical knowledge with practical application and in promoting health awareness within the university community.
