Workshop on Women's Health / Women's Health Center

In commitment to community service and to achieve the strategic goals of the Women's Health Center focusing on empowering women in all aspects, including health, AAU organized an educational workshop through the Women's Health Center / Faculty of Nursing. The workshop was supervised by Dr. Muna Al-Nsur and focused on the importance of breastfeeding at Ain Al-Basha Health Center over two consecutive days, Sunday and Monday, May 12-13, 2024. The workshop was presented by pharmacist Hanin Al-Mumani from the Women's Health Center and lecturer Ivan Sabra from the Faculty of Nursing. This workshop is part of a series of awareness events organized by the center to raise awareness about important health issues. It included a detailed explanation of the importance of committing to breastfeeding in the first months of a child's life, how mothers can prepare for this process, and the role it plays in promoting the child's health and providing necessary protection. Additionally, the workshop reviewed practical techniques and tips to facilitate successful breastfeeding. This educational workshop aimed at highlighting the importance of breastfeeding for mothers is part of ongoing efforts to enhance child and maternal health care. It aligns with the comprehensive healthcare strategy of the Women's Health Center, aiming to maximize benefits for the local community. The management of Ain Al-Basha Health Center praised the successful initiative and the efforts of AAU's Women's Health Center, expressing their hopes for further fruitful cooperation in the future.
