Women's Health Center at AAU Participates in a Consultative Meeting to Enhance Cooperation Among Health Centers and Empower Women in Jordan
As part of efforts to strengthen partnerships and unify efforts in women's health and empowerment, the Women's Health Center at the Faculty of Nursing, represented by pharmacist Haneen Momani and led by Dr. Mona Al-Nsour, participated in a consultative meeting organized by the Center for Women’s Studies at the University of Jordan. The meeting brought together representatives from health centers and women's empowerment units in public and private universities to develop a joint roadmap for enhancing collaboration and exchanging expertise and data in the field of women's health.
The meeting, held upon the kind invitation of Dr. Amal Al-Awawdeh, Director of the Center for Women’s Studies, featured the participation of distinguished representatives from institutions concerned with women's health and health empowerment units in universities. Discussions focused on unifying efforts and strengthening cooperation mechanisms for implementing awareness programs and developing joint research projects that contribute to increasing women's health awareness and providing a supportive environment for their physical and mental well-being.
The Women's Health Center emphasized that this meeting aims to serve as a starting point for sustainable cooperation, seeking to enhance women's overall health through specialized training programs, joint workshops, and awareness campaigns targeting women within and beyond the academic community.
The discussions also covered collaborative work mechanisms, opportunities for developing unified strategies to improve women's healthcare services, and a review of successful initiatives implemented by various universities in this field.
At the conclusion of the meeting, participants expressed their appreciation for this initiative, highlighting the importance of continuing such periodic meetings to ensure the exchange of experiences and the development of high-quality programs that promote women's health and support their empowerment in all sectors.
