Al-Ahliyah Amman University Strengthens Its New Bachelor’s Program in Jewelry Design through a Partnership with “DIVA Jewelry & Diamonds”

Al-Ahliyah Amman University signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DIVA Jewelry & Diamonds, as part of its efforts to strengthen partnerships between the university and the private sector and benefit from specialized professional expertise in the jewelry and diamond industry. The partnership aims to support the practical aspects of the Jewelry Design program, while providing students with opportunities for training and gaining practical experience relevant to the labor market. The MoU was signed on behalf of Al-Ahliyah Amman University by Chairman of the Board of Trustees Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, and on behalf of DIVA Jewelry & Diamonds by Chairman of the Board Mr. Jamal Al-Shawabkeh. The signing was attended by the University Advisor, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan; Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Professor Dr. Rama Al-Rabadi; Financial Director Mr. Rami Mansour; and Director of the Marketing and Communication Unit, Engineer Ahmad Al-Hourani. The MoU includes cooperation in providing training opportunities for a number of university students, enabling them to gain practical experience and specialized professional skills in the jewelry and diamond design and manufacturing sectors. It also provides the possibility of offering students employment opportunities upon completion of their training, subject to available vacancies and the company’s approved recruitment policies. In the field of jewelry design, the MoU provides for cooperation in developing and implementing training camps and professional development programs for students enrolled in the Jewelry Design program. These initiatives aim to enhance their practical skills and increase their employment opportunities in the jewelry and diamond design and manufacturing sectors. The agreement also includes establishing and supporting a student jewelry design studio or laboratory in partnership with the university, enhancing students’ participation in exhibitions and creative and competitive competitions related to the field. Both parties emphasized that this partnership represents an important step in supporting the new Bachelor’s program in Jewelry Design and providing students with an advanced, practice-oriented educational environment. This will enhance their professional readiness and open broader opportunities for training, employment, and creativity in the jewelry and diamond industry.
