The Mexican Ambassador Visits Al-Ahliyya Amman University
The AAU President, Prof. Sari Hamdan received the Ambassador of the State of Mexico, Mr. Roberto Rodriguez Hernandez and the accompanying delegation. During this visit, which aims to get acquainted with AAU, Prof. Sari welcomed the guests and expressed the University’s interest in opening all cooperation frameworks with Mexican universities and institutions.His Excellency the Ambassador stated that the Jordanian-Mexican relations receive clear attention and support from His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein and His Excellency the Mexican President Andres Lopes Obrador. From this standpoint, the Embassy of the State of Mexico in Jordan is ready to open channels of cooperation and communication with Mexican universities and institutions in various fields, including education, investment, tourism, transportation and others.On his part, the AAU President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, stressed that the Jordanian-Mexican relations are historical and that Jordan should strengthen them, especially since there is a trade agreement between Jordan and Mexico. Prof. Hamdan also confirmed that Al-Ahliyya Amman University welcomes all kinds of cooperation with Mexican universities and institutions wishing to do so.The President added that Al-Ahliyya Amman University, as the first private Jordanian university, has a long history in high-quality educational services and began to establish specialized companies through which it aims to market products and technological ideas from the various faculties of the University and through the Center for Innovation and Excellence.The AAU Assistant President for Accreditation & International Classification, Dr. Anas Al-Saud, gave a presentation on the University, its establishment, faculties, centers, and services, and explained possible cooperation frameworks.At the end of the meeting, the AAU President handed the University Shield to His Excellency the Mexican Ambassador and it was agreed to develop an action plan to follow up what was discussed.
