The Faculty of Dentistry Launches Smoking Cessation Clinic

Prof. Mosleh Al-Tarawneh, Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Law, inaugurated the Smoking Cessation Clinic at the Faculty of Dentistry, in the presence of deans of faculties, faculty members, administrative staff, and representatives from the Ministry of Health/Health Awareness and Media Directorate - Smoking Harm Prevention Department. This initiative aims to enhance health awareness among university students and the local community, as smoking is considered one of the leading causes of cancer, heart, and lung diseases. This clinic is part of the faculty's efforts to combat smoking and provide support and assistance to those who wish to quit this harmful habit. The clinic offers a variety of services and programs aimed at helping smokers effectively overcome addiction, including individual health consultations, counseling sessions, and necessary treatment provision. The clinic follows the latest scientifically proven medical and psychological approaches in smoking addiction management, aiming to maximize the benefit for patients and ensure their success in quitting smoking.
