The Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda Visits AAU to Explore Cooperation Opportunities

Professor Sari Hamdan, our president, warmly received Her Excellency Eugenie Bakuramutsa, the Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda. The meeting was attended by Professor Anas Al-Soud, Vice President for International Relations and Quality Affairs, Consul Joel Uwizeye, the First Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Rwanda, and Mr. Abdullah Kreishan, Head of the Educational Tourism Department at the Jordan Tourism Board. Discussions during the meeting revolved around fostering cooperation between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and prominent universities and companies in the Republic of Rwanda across various sectors, including tourism, hospitality, agricultural technology, and medical tourism. The exchange of expertise and educational programs was also a key focus. Professor Sari Hamdan expressed the university's eagerness to bolster collaboration with institutions in the Republic of Rwanda across academic, cultural, and tourism domains, aiming to fortify cultural and educational ties between the two nations. Professor Anas Al-Soud delivered a comprehensive presentation outlining the university's journey since its inception as Jordan's first private university, highlighting its strategic plan, vision, faculties, centers, programs, and future endeavors. Her Excellency the Ambassador commended the accomplishments of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and its esteemed reputation both regionally and globally. She lauded the university's dedication to advancing education and scientific research in the region. The delegation embarked on a tour of various university facilities, including the Faculty of Dentistry, where they were warmly received by Dean Professor Yazan Hassouna and Engineer Ahmad Al-Hourani, Director of the Marketing and Communication Unit. They also visited the Faculty of Hospitality and Culinary Arts, where Dr. Suzy Hatough, the Dean of the Faculty, welcomed them and provided insights into the faculty's facilities, academic programs, and training initiatives. As a gesture of gratitude for Her Excellency's visit, our university president bestowed upon her the university shield as the visit ended.
