The Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus visits Al-Ahliyya Amman University

President of the University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, invited the Ambassador of the Republic of Cyprus in Amman, Mr. Michalis Ioannou on Sunday 4/12/2022 to explore the campus of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and learn more on its programs. Mr. Michalis and Prof. Sari discussed possible areas of collaboration that would enhance academic and cultural cooperation between the university and Cypriot educational institutions. From his part, Prof. Anas Al-Soud, Vice Dean for International Relations and Quality explained to Mr. Michalis the university’s willingness to expand its spectrum of collaboration on an international level, especially in the fields of academic exchanges for students and staff, joint scientific research and projects as well as Erasmus+ programs. Mr. Michalis thanked Prof. Sari and Prof. Anas for their invitation to visit Al-Ahliyya Amman University and initiating prospects for cooperation with Cypriot educational institutions. Moreover, the ambassador was accompanied on a campus tour to explore the facilities of the university such as Al Hourani E-Learning Center, Cyber Security Center, Department of Cosmetic Sciences, the Arena Complex and the Academy of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts. He also learned more on the academic programs provided on BA, MA and Higher Diploma levels. By the end of the visit, Prof. Sari presented the university’s shield of honor for the ambassador in appreciation to his visit.
