Scientific Day of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Under the patronage of Professor Sari Hamdan, President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, and in the presence of faculty deans, the Director of the Center for Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic Studies, academic staff, and students, the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences organized its annual Scientific Day under the theme: “Allied Medical Sciences: A Vital Link in Achieving Comprehensive Healthcare.” The event commenced with a welcoming speech by Professor Ghaleb Arikat, Dean of the Faculty, who expressed his gratitude to the university administration for its continued support of the faculty’s academic and scientific initiatives. He highlighted the significance of the event in fostering academic and research collaboration and in providing a platform to discuss key healthcare issues across the faculty’s various departments. The Scientific Day featured the participation of representatives from the Jordan Food and Drug Administration – Vaccine Committee – and Rajwa Foundation, who enriched the sessions by sharing their professional experiences and insightful interventions. They emphasized the critical role of the JFDA in ensuring the quality and safety of vaccines and healthcare services, while also encouraging students to engage in community-based initiatives that support cancer patients and promote social responsibility. Distinguished lectures were delivered by faculty members from all departments, offering valuable and relevant content that catered to the academic interests and aspirations of the students. These sessions reflected the college’s commitment to delivering a rich and diverse scientific program aligned with student needs. More than 45 companies from various medical and health sectors participated in the event, showcasing their latest products and innovations at dedicated booths. The university president toured the exhibition, exploring the cutting-edge solutions and services presented to support the healthcare sector and enhance academic education and hands-on training for students. The day also featured an impressive exhibition of student projects and innovations from all departments, demonstrating their creativity, research capabilities, and practical application of academic knowledge in an engaging and interactive setting. It is worth noting that the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University is recognized as one of the leading institutions in academic education and practical training. The faculty provides an exceptional learning environment across all health-related disciplines. The faculty currently enrolls more than 1,500 students in undergraduate programs in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, Physical Therapy, Audiology and Speech, Occupational Therapy, Cosmetology, and Optometry. Additionally, it offers three master's programs in Medical Laboratory Sciences, Audiology, and Speech and Communication Disorders—underscoring the faculty’s diversity and academic excellence. The event concluded with an award ceremony honoring participating institutions, organizers, administrative staff, and outstanding students in both academic and artistic fields, in recognition of their efforts and achievements. The day closed with a reaffirmation of the importance of advancing scientific research and strengthening community partnerships in support of the local and regional healthcare sector.
