Professor Sari Hamdan Receives Delegation from the Arab Union for Sports Culture

Professor Sari Hamdan, Vice President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee and President of our AAU, welcomed a delegation from the Arab Union for Sports Culture. The delegation was headed by Mr. Mohammed Youssef Al-Mannai, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Vice President of the Qatari Olympic Committee, along with Dr. Ibrahim Al-Qanass, Board Member and Member of the Saudi Shura Council, and Mr. Hassan Masoud, President of the Jordanian Sports Culture Association and Executive Board Member of the Arab Union. During the meeting held at AAU, discussions were focused on exploring ways to enhance cooperation between the university and the Arab Union for Sports Culture. The aim was to promote and spread the concept of sports culture in parallel with the significant developments and importance of sports across all segments of society. Prof. Sari Hamdan welcomed the delegation and emphasized that the university's doors are always open for collaboration, exchange of expertise, and support for the Arab Union for Sports Culture’s initiatives aimed at cultural, physical, and health awareness. He noted that the university places significant importance on sports and athletes, offering them special advantages. For his part, Mr. Al-Mannai praised the significant role played by our AAU in disseminating knowledge and graduating highly skilled students, which directly contributes to the cultural landscape of Jordan and the Arab world. He stated, "We take pride in visiting this esteemed academic institution. What we have seen in reality proves that higher education in Jordan is on the right track, with Al-Ahliyya Amman University serving as a model deserving of commendation and recognition." Mr. Hassan Masoud, President of the Jordanian Sports Culture Association, emphasized the importance of such visits. He noted that the association aims to engage with all relevant parties to actively support and advance the cultural movement through actions rather than words. He also mentioned that following the hosting of the Arab Union for Sports Culture’s Board of Trustees meeting, the association is preparing to hold a widely attended media seminar, celebrating national occasions with broad Jordanian and Arab participation.
