Prof. Sari Hamdan Honors the Team Winning Second Place Nationally in the IEEE Cybersecurity Competition and First Place in the Advanced Web Category

Al-Ahliyya Amman University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan, honored the student team that secured second place nationwide among Jordanian universities and first place in the Advanced Web category at the IEEE Jordan Cybersecu- rity 2025 Competition. This achievement was part of the latest edition of the competition, organized by the IEEE Jordan CS and CIS Joint Chapter in collaboration with the IEEE Jordan Cybersecurity Group, which drew participation from more than twen- ty-five universities and over one hundred student teams across Jordan. The university team was supervised by: * Prof. Mohammad Al-Qatawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology * Dr. Ahmad Sami Al-Shamayleh, Head of the Department of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence * Instructor Nada Al-Shafie * Cybersecurity Analyst Hussein Al-Zghatat The university participated with two teams from the Faculty of Information Technology, consisting of the following students: Mohammad Khader Abu Khas, Amer Salameh Al-Assaf, Shaheen Hassan Al-Sabani, Herad Hakob Moradian, Ayham Al-Masri, Tareq Abdelghani, and Nour Al-Din Al-Azzam. Prof. Sari Hamdan affirmed that this achievement reflects the advanced level of the university’s students in the field of cybersecurity and demonstrates the high quality of academic and practical training provided by the faculty. He further affirmed the university’s ongoing commitment to empowering its students and expanding their involvement in specialized competitions at both national and international arenas.
