President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Meets New and Continuing Faculty Members

The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Sari Hamdan, met with new and continuing faculty members in the presence of the Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry, Prof. Ahmad Hamdan; the Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmad Abu Arabi; and the Assistant to the President for Accreditation, Quality, and Planning and Director of the Human Resources and Institutional Development Unit, Dr. Iyad Shabaan. Prof. Hamdan congratulated the new faculty members on joining the University community, wishing them success and underscoring their vital role as active partners in improving the quality of educational and research outcomes and in strengthening and advancing community service. He noted the University’s pride in welcoming distinguished professors to its staff. During the meeting, Prof. Hamdan outlined the University’s vision to develop a stimulating learning environment for students and faculty by introducing new and distinctive programs aligned with the needs of local, regional, and international markets. He also highlighted the University’s recent achievements in global and local rankings, noting that Al-Ahliyya Amman University attained an unprecedented milestone by ranking first among Jordanian universities within the 401–500 band worldwide in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, one of the world’s most prestigious academic rankings. This achievement is the result of the University’s ambitious strategic vision to support scientific research and enhance the quality of education, alongside excellence in academic performance and international collaboration. It has been made possible by the efforts of both academic and administrative staff and the continued support of the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Dr. Maher Hourani, and his Deputy, Mr. Omar Hourani, which has strengthened the University’s position as a leading educational institution on the global stage. For his part, the Dean of Scientific Research, Prof. Ahmad Abu Orabi, emphasized the importance of sustained support for scientific research as the cornerstone of local and international academic accreditation and rankings, affirming the Deanship’s commitment to developing and supporting research projects in line with future aspirations. At the close of the meeting, the new faculty members expressed their gratitude to the University President for this opportunity for direct dialogue, the exchange of views, and the presentation of their comments and suggestions, which Prof. Sari Hamdan addressed with transparency and clarity.
