Memorandum of Understanding Signed Between Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Syrian Private University
Al-Ahliyya Amman University, represented by its President, Professor Sari Hamdan, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Syrian Private University, represented by its President, Professor Abdul Razzaq Al-Hussein. The agreement aims to enhance academic and research cooperation between the two institutions.
The signing ceremony was attended on behalf of the Syrian Private University by Mr. Hammam Hamsi, Director of Quality Assurance and Academic Accreditation. Representing Al-Ahliyya Amman University were the Dean of Scientific Research, Professor Ahmad Abu Arabi, and the Director of the Global Engagement Center, Dr. Fayrouz Abu Sweilem. The agreement reflects the shared commitment of both universities to expanding areas of partnership and strengthening joint academic collaboration.
Professor Sari Hamdan affirmed that the signing of this memorandum aligns with the vision of Al-Ahliyya Amman University to strengthen its academic partnerships with Arab universities and to open new avenues for the exchange of scientific and research expertise. He noted that such cooperation contributes to the development of academic programs, the enhancement of higher education quality, and the service of students and faculty members at both institutions.
For his part, Professor Dr. Abdul Razzaq Al-Hussein expressed his appreciation for signing the memorandum with Al-Ahliyya Amman University, emphasizing that the agreement represents an important step toward building effective and sustainable academic cooperation. He highlighted its role in promoting joint work in scientific research and academic exchange in support of higher education in both countries.
The memorandum provides for cooperation in scientific research, the exchange of faculty members and students, and the organization of joint conferences, workshops, and academic activities, in a manner that serves the educational and scientific interests of both universities.
The visit also included a field tour of several university facilities and faculties, including the Faculty of Dentistry, the Department of Physical Therapy at the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences, the Faculty of Architecture and Design, and the Arena Sports Complex.
The delegation was received by Professor Dr. Ghaleb Ariqat, Dean of the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences; Dr. Saad Al-Naassan, Head of the Physical Therapy Department; Professor Dr. Rama Al-Rabadi, Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design; along with the supervisors and officials of the Arena Sports Complex.
Members of the delegation expressed their admiration for the significant development of the University’s faculties, laboratories, and facilities, as well as for the Arena Sports Complex and its advanced sections and modern equipment.
