Launching the first training ceremony for students of the Bachelor of Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts in the faculty building

In the presence of Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, President of the University, Prof. Fayez Haddad, Dean of the Faculty of Business, Mr. Ayman Rashid, General Manager of Movenpick Hotel Amman, and faculty members, the first training ceremony for students of the Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts specialization for the subjects of Event Management and Procedures, and Culinary Principles and Food & Beverage Service was launched in the faculty building, where the students fully organized the ceremony which included several events, such as introductory sessions on the reality of the tourism sector in Jordan. At the beginning of the ceremony, the President praised the importance of this specialization and the university's initiative in developing such specializations and its constant efforts to keep pace with the latest and newest specializations. For his part, the Dean of the Faculty talked about the role of this specialization in serving the sector and the importance of the development of this specialization at the university. Mr. Ayman spoke about the importance of the tourism sector in supporting Jordan's economy, the number of workers in the sector, the importance of training and employment for students in hotels, and he also touched on the role of the private sector in serving the tourism and hotels industry and he encouraged the students to study such specializations. Among the speakers was also Mr. Ashraf Al-Yassin, Director of Development and Training at Movenpick Hotel Amman, who gave a full explanation of the importance of training and employment, where the in-service training aims at developing the knowledge, skills and attitudes of trainees in an atmosphere of cooperative work, group spirit and self-respect, and he touched on the role of the HR Department in working to raise the trainee's scientific efficiency and develop his skills and attitudes to the required level.
