Knowledge and experience exchange lecture for faculty members and postgraduate students at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Tanani and organized by Dr. Naeem Shaalan, Head of The Department of Pharmaceuticals and Technology, and within the lecture series Sharing knowledge and experiences for faculty members and postgraduate students, Professor Dr. Rana Abu Al-Dahab/ Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan gave a lecture entitled: Tissue Culture Models in 2D or 3D Settings, Selections and Testing, on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at the Business School Coliseum in the presence of a large number of faculty members and graduate students of the faculty.Her lecture focused on animal cell culture for laboratory toxicity screening, cell transfer studies, safety of drug delivery systems, toxicity and discovery in the field of anti-cancer drugs, as well as the development of tissue culture in the laboratory and new drug evaluation systems.Dr. Rana Abu Al Dahab, a professor of bio pharmacology, received a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan with honors, and in 1996 received a master's degree in biopharmaceutical from King's College London.She enrolled in the Doctoral Program in Germany as a Scholarship (Dade), where she received her Ph.D. from the University of Saarland in Germany.Dr. Rana Abu Al-Dahab attended the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Jordan in September 2001 where she supervised about 35 master's and doctoral dissertations and published about 50 research papers in international journals.She is currently chairman of the Committee on The Ethics of Scientific Research on Animals in the Pharmaceutical Research Unit of the University of Jordan and is a member of the High National Committee of the Jordan Food and Drug Administration.
