Knowledge and Experience Exchange Lecture for Faculty Members and Graduate Students of Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Prof. Dr. Mohammed Al-Tannani and organized by Dr. Naeem Shaalan, Head of The Department of Pharmaceuticals and Technology as part of the lecture series Sharing knowledge and experiences for faculty members and graduate students; Eng. Abeer Barakat Al Zuhair, Director General of the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization, delivered a lecture entitled The role of specifications and standards in enabling quality of life and competitiveness of the national economy, on Thursday, 19 May 2022 at al-Hourani Center for E-Learning and in the presence of a large number faculty members and graduate students.The lecture focused on the role of the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization in controlling local industries and products imported from abroad for the benefit of the Jordanian citizens and protecting them from all kinds of fraud and forgery. Eng. Abeer Barakat Al Zuhair received her Master Degree in Business Administration from the Arab Academy of Financial and Banking Sciences in Jordan in 2008 and received her Bachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering from the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Jordan in 1992.She has been the Director General of the Jordan Standards and Metrology Organization since January 2020. Furthermore, she has received many local and international certificates, the most important of which is the certificate of passing the requirements of the Leadership Preparation Program and the certificate of Innovation Management Model as well as a certificate in Introduction to World Trade.Eng. Abeer Barakat Al Zuhair is a member of several national committees such as: The General Food and Drug Administration, The Management Committee of the Fund for Supporting Scientific Research and Development in Industry in the Supreme Council of Science and Technology, The Steering Committee for Inspection of Economic Facilities as well as the Committee for the Preparation of National Employment Strategy in the Ministry of Labor.
