Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participates in second chemical festival on Jordan University campus

Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the second chemical festival with the support of the Jordanian Chemical Society and the American Chemical Society/ Jordan branch, under the title Chemistry protects our health, which was held on the campus of the University of Jordan - Department of Chemistry on Thursday, 04/11/2021 in the presence of the Vice President of Jordan University for Scientific Colleges, Dr. Inam Khalaf.For her part, festival coordinator Dr. Fadwa Odeh- Department of Chemistry - University of Jordan, said that the need for establishing the department was due to the fact that chemistry is a tributary of all other sciences. The importance of chemistry in our lives lies in its close association with various fields in life, such as health, beauty, sterilization, cleaning, and many other industries.The festival included an exhibition of scientific experiments carried out by the students of the department in cooperation with their colleagues who specialize in chemistry or chemistry fans from some public and private schools in order to communicate the concepts and chemistry information for different age groups in an attractive and practical way, in addition to presentations by some companies concerned with industries whose products depend on chemistry.The festival was co-organized by a group of faculty members at the Faculty of Pharmacy, including Dr. Arij Jaber, Dr. Rima Al Omari, Dr. Hamdi Nseirat, and Dr. Khaldoun Al-Azam. A number of students also participated, including Saja al-Abbas, Maram Merei, Sarah Egbaria, Ayat Abdul Razzaq, Zainab Abdul Zahra, Ranim Al-Anabtawi, Ranim al-Haris, Obada Al-Sibai and Rowan Al-Sayyid Yusuf.
