Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University holds a mentoring workshop for its students

Under the auspices of the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, Professor Dr. Mohammed Al-Tannani, the Academic Guidance Committee of the Faculty of Pharmacy organized the mentoring meeting on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at the Mahmoud Darwish Theatre, which aims to encourage young people through the demonstration of success stories.The meeting included a welcome speech by the Vice Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Wissam Ammari to the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy, demonstrating the success story of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the most important achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy in recent times, the most important of which are the use of the latest means of teaching and learning, stressing at the same time the importance of research in keeping up with the global developments and providing the Center for Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic Research with the latest advanced devices that poured in the interest of research and researchers, where this led to an increase in the number of research papers published in international arbitrated journals, in addition to obtaining a certificate of local and American quality assurance, success and excellence in electronic education and finding new and innovative methods to teach scientific courses during the Corona pandemic, updating the study plans for the bachelor and master degrees in order to meet the requirements of the local and international market, increasing financial support for master's students and easing the restrictions of supervision of master's degrees so that a greater number of professors can supervise master's students, signing agreements with local pharmacies and private and public hospitals in addition to agreements with pharmaceutical companies and centers such as Al Hikma company and the Jordanian Pharmaceutical Company, obtaining local and international support by nearly half a million Jordanian Dinars, which led to the faculty to become internationally renowned, and this success was crowned by being the first among Jordanian universities in the classification of the World Times Organization 2022.The meeting included an introductory video about the university and its facilities, followed by Ms. Nisreen Sandouqa from Al Hikma company demonstrating the success story of the company and sharing a number of copies of the success story with the students. Dr. Osama Samawi, owner of Nai Website, which specializes in the sale of pharmaceutical products for cosmetics, childcare products, mouth and dental care products in addition to medical and laboratory devices, shared the story of his success in building his own company and distributed symbolic awards to students. Lastly, a perseverant student showcased his story and struggle, and the meeting was concluded with competitions and singing pieces and presenting commemorative shields to companies and participating students.
