Faculty of Business at Aau Hosts a Specialized Lecture on Digital Payment Systems for FinTech Students

As part of enhancing the practical aspect and connecting students to the job market, the College of Business hosted Mr. Qais Zreik from RS2 Company to deliver a lecture for students in the Financial Technology (FinTech) major, as part of the Fundamentals of Financial Technology course. The lecture covered the practical aspects of digital payment systems, with a particular focus on ISO 8583, the standard used in financial messaging and card transaction processing. The structure of messages and the key fields and their roles in linking banks, payment companies, and card networks were explained. Real-world examples from the industry were also presented, helping to deepen the students' understanding of practical applications and linking theoretical concepts to the requirements of the modern FinTech sector.
