Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organizes a visit to the Latin School of Fuheis

As part of its community engagement, the Faculty of Allied Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University organized a field visit by the Department of Optometry to the Latin School of Fuheis to raise students’ awareness of the importance of protecting and maintaining healthy vision. During the visit, members of the department’s academic and administrative staff conducted vision screening for seventy school students and delivered an awareness lecture on the importance of regular eye examinations, the role of optometrists in serving the community, and an introduction to the nature of the profession and its health responsibilities. The team also introduced the Optometry major at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, noting that it is a rare and unsaturated specialization in the labor market, and that AAU is the only private university in Jordan that offers this program as part of its commitment to providing high-quality academic offerings that meet the needs of society and the local job market.
