Dr. Yazan Gamoe in AAU Participates in the Second Sudanese Optics Conference

The Head of the Optics Department in Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Yazan Gamoe, participated in the Second Sudanese Optics Conference which was held under the patronage of the First Deputy President of the Republic of Sudan in the Khartoum Corinthia Hotel from 10/2/2018 to 11/2/2018. The Optics and Vision Sciences Department in the Neelain University along with various countries across the world participated in the conference. Dr. Gamoe presented two lectures; Contact Lens Discomfort and Digital Eye Strain. On the sideline of the conference, Dr. Yazan Gamoe met the Minister of Health in Khartoum and discussed the possibility of opticians' participation in the eye primary care in Sudan for the purpose of benefiting from their experience and applying it in Jordan. Then they toured the clinics of the Optics Department in the Neelain University. Dr. Gamoe met the Head of the Optics Department, Dr. Mustafa Abdo, and talked about exchanging experience and conducting and performing joint scientific research. Moreover, they agreed upon organizing a workshop about the contact lenses for the students and the academic staff at the beginning of the first academic semester of 2018/2019.
