Dr. Saleem inaugurates the Fifth Scientific Day for the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences at Al-Ahliyya Amman University

Under the patronage of His Excellency the President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Maher Saleem, the activities of the Fifth Scientific Day of the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences were inaugurated under the theme “Towards Good Practices in the Medical Profession” in the presence of HE Dr. Taher Shakhshir, Chairman of the Jordanian Pharmacists Association, Chairman of the Arab Pharmacists Union, HE Dr. Zaid Hamza, HE Dr. Mumin Hadidi, HE Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh, HE Dr. Ali Shawaheen, representatives of sponsors, and a large number of faculty members and students. The Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Maher Shorbaji, delivered a speech welcoming the attendees. He expressed his thanks and gratitude to the sponsors and pointed out to the purpose behind holding the Fifth Scientific Day entitled “Towards Good Practices in the Medical Profession”. He noted that this Day aims at upgrading the overall level of health services and developing good practices in the field of medical and pharmaceutical care and professions. The Faculty seeks to achieve the vision, mission, and objectives of the University aimed at promoting effective partnerships and bridging the gap between the University and community institutions, he noted. He added that this helps create competent, distinguished, and competitive practitioners and researchers of high professional ethics, which will enhance the health care quality. The scientific day program included a number of lectures delivered by HE Dr. Taher Shakhshir, HE Dr. Zaid Hamza, HE Dr. Momen Hadidi, HE Prof. Dr. Mohammad Rawashdeh and HE Dr. Ali Shawaheen through which they highlighted the major issues in the medical profession and good medical practices. On the sidelines of the scientific day, an exhibition was opened which featured the participation of pharmaceutical and medical supplies companies and laboratories.
