Dr. Qamo of Al-Ahliyya Amman University designated as representative of the Middle East countries on WCO Board

The Educational Committee of the World Council of Optometry (WCO) designated Dr. Yazan Qamo, Head of Optics Department, Faculty of Pharmacy and Medical Sciences, Al-Ahliyya Amman University, as representative of the Middle East countries in the Committee. The World Council of Optometry is a non-profit organization based in the city of St. Louis, Missouri, which is recognized by the World Society for the Prevention of Blindness (IAPB) of the World Health Organization (WHO).WCO coordinates between the universities to raise the level of education by updating study plans and assisting local optics associations in hosting workshops and conferences and training and developing the skills of sight examiners by conducting optics courses and conferences.
