Dr. Kareem Fadhel Participates in the Arab Media Forum 2024

Dr. Kareem Fadel Al-Faraji, a faculty member in the Department of Cinematic, Television, and Theatrical Design at the Faculty of Architecture and Design, AAU, participated in the events of the Arab Media Forum 2024, the first forum for influencers and content creators. These events were organized by the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Organization in Amman, at the Royal Hotel, under the patronage of Dr. Mohannad Al-Mbaydeen, Minister of Government Communication, and with the participation of His Excellency Ambassador Ahmed Rasheed Khattabi, Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Media and Communication Sector at the League of Arab States. The forum included several sessions, with two sessions held on the first day: the first session focused on "The Future of Development in the Arab World: Challenges and Opportunities," while the second session was titled "The Role of Content Creators in Confronting Extremist Narratives and Promoting Awareness of Sustainable Development Goals." The second day of the forum featured three sessions: the first titled "Future Alliances: Integration between Traditional Media and Content Creation," the second titled "Fake News and Fact-Checking," and the third session was a workshop titled "Cybersecurity and Protecting Arab Websites and Platforms from Cyberattacks." The forum witnessed wide attendance from academics and experts specializing in media and legal affairs, bloggers, and media influencers from all Arab countries. Its sessions hosted dialogues, discussions, and workshops that shed light on pressing media issues at the local, regional, and international levels. This participation aligns with the activation of the memorandum of understanding signed between our AAU and the Arab Satellite Broadcasting Organization. It also aligns with the university's vision, policy, and core values, reflecting its commitment to engaging with organizations and institutions concerned with artistic and cultural affairs at both the local and regional levels.
