Dr. Al-Hourani Inaugurates Innovation Day at Al-Ahliyya Amman University with Participation from Leading Technology and Entrepreneurship Companies
Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, inaugurated the activities of Innovation Day organized by the Faculty of Information Technology at the university on the occasion of the faculty’s Silver Jubilee, with broad participation from leading technology and entrepreneurship companies, as well as institutions specializing in technology and digital transformation.
The event was attended by several deans, faculty and administrative staff members, in addition to a large number of university students and individuals interested in the fields of technology and innovation.
In his opening remarks, Dr. Al-Hourani affirmed that Al-Ahliyya Amman University continues to support innovation and scientific research, driven by its belief in the importance of investing in young talents and empowering students to develop their ideas into entrepreneurial projects capable of keeping pace with global technological transformations and serving society.
He noted that over the past twenty-five years, the Faculty of Information Technology has succeeded in strengthening its academic and scientific standing through graduating distinguished professionals who have demonstrated excellence across various technology sectors at both the local and regional levels.
For his part, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Mohammad Al-Qatawneh, explained that Innovation Day reflects the faculty’s vision of fostering an educational environment that encourages creativity and innovation, while building effective partnerships with the technology sector to refine students’ skills and connect them with labor market needs.
He added that the faculty is committed to keeping pace with rapid developments in the fields of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital transformation through continuously developing its academic programs and organizing scientific and practical activities that enhance students’ innovative capabilities.
The event featured specialized presentations and contributions highlighting the latest developments in information technology, artificial intelligence, and entrepreneurship, alongside showcases of innovative technological initiatives and experiences presented by participating companies and institutions.
The event also served as an interactive platform for exchanging expertise among students, specialists, and leaders in the technology sector, thereby promoting a culture of innovation and supporting digital transformation trends across various fields.
