Dr. Al-Hourani Honors AAU’s Choir and Grants Them a 50% Tuition Discount in Recognition of Their Excellence at Jerash Festival
Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, honored the university’s choir, along with their supervisors and technical team, in appreciation of their outstanding participation in the Jerash Festival for Culture and Arts. The ceremony was attended by the University President, Prof. Sari Hamdan.
The choir gave a remarkable performance at the Artemis Theater, presenting a collection of traditional Jordanian folkloric songs and musical pieces that received wide audience acclaim and praise from the festival’s management for the creativity and diversity showcased in the performance.
During the honoring ceremony, Dr. Al-Hourani expressed his pride in this achievement, reaffirming the university’s commitment to supporting artistic and cultural activities and encouraging students to pursue creativity and excellence. He also announced a 50% tuition scholarship for choir members in recognition of their efforts and talent.
Furthermore, Dr. Al-Hourani emphasized that the university will allocate an artistic excellence scholarship each semester to support distinguished students in various artistic fields, thereby enhancing the role of arts in shaping students’ personalities and refining their talents.
