Dr. Al-Hadidi from AAU Wins Best Paper Award at Prestigious International Conference in London

Dr. Taqwa Al-Hadidi, a faculty member in the Department of Civil Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, won the Best Paper Award during her participation in the 10th International Conference on Civil, Structural, and Transportation Engineering (ICCSTE 2025), held at the Conference Center of Imperial College London, United Kingdom. The awarded research paper, titled: "Spatiotemporal Analysis of Chicago Ridesharing Demand Using Modified Spatial Error Model" presented an in-depth analysis of ridesharing service demand in the city of Chicago using a modified spatial error model. The study highlighted the impact of various factors including demographics, education, crime rates, and transportation infrastructure on the usage of such services. The results emphasized the importance of integrating public transportation with ridesharing services as well as the need to adopt smart urban policies based on accurate data and scientific evidence. This award represents a significant academic achievement for Al-Ahliyya Amman University and reaffirms its leadership and excellence in scientific research, particularly in the fields of engineering and sustainable transportation. It also contributes to strengthening the university’s active presence on the international academic stage.
