Community Health Awareness on Basic Cardiac Resuscitation at Al-Jami’a Schools

In line with the American Heart Association's goal to designate October each year as CPR Month in the Middle East and North Africa and to achieve the center's strategic objective of community empowerment, the Faculty of Nursing, under the supervision of Al-Ahliyya Amman University's Health Training Center, organized a community health awareness session on basic cardiac resuscitation for secondary school girls at University Schools on Tuesday, October 22, 2024. The session was delivered by internationally certified trainers from the American Heart Association: Prof. Khaldoun Hamdan, Trainer Evan Sabrah, and Supervisor Safa Hammad. They highlighted the importance of CPR and provided all students with hands-on training using adult and child mannequins. The workshop was well-received by students and school administration and is expected to be the start of future collaborations between Al-Jami’a Schools and the Health Training Center at Al-Ahliyya Amman University.
