College of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University launches Students Scientific Research Club
The Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University held a ceremony to celebrate the launch of the Scientific Research Club for college students. Prof. Mohammed Al-Tanani, Dean of the Faculty, Heads of Departments, faculty members, students as well as members of the Scientific Research Club, attended the event which was held in Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium.Al-Tannani stressed the importance of scientific research for students in keeping up with the developments of current times. He affirmed that the instilling of basic rules of scientific research provides students with skills that will be helpful and an additional advantage in the event of their desire to pursue postgraduate studies or apply for any future job opportunities. The club will provide a window of opportunity for students towards achieving their aspirations for progress and creativity.Al-Tannani also presented the achievements of the Faculty of Pharmacy in the field of research, in addition to the efforts exerted by the Pharmaceutical and Diagnostic Research Center (PDRC) for providing accurate and up-to-date research data bases in various pharmaceutical sciences and medical diagnostic techniques.For his part, the club's advisor, Dr. Ali Al-Sumaidai, spoke about the services the club can offer to students, urging them to join it. He also called for involving students in research. He pointed out that the club will assist students in publishing scientific papers, which would raise students' awareness on scientific research and the skills and concepts it requires. At the end of the ceremony, some of the club's founding students talked about the club's objectives and showcased their experiences in scientific research.
