Charity Drug Bank and AAU’s Faculty of Pharmacy Discuss Collaboration Opportunities
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Dr. Arwa Al-Khatib, welcomed a delegation from the Board of Directors of the Charity Drug Bank to discuss potential collaboration on charitable and humanitarian programs aimed at serving the community and promoting pharmaceutical security in Jordan.
Dr. Al-Khatib expressed the university's commitment, particularly the Faculty of Pharmacy, to engaging in charitable and training initiatives in partnership with national institutions that provide efficient services to diverse segments of society. She also commended the significant humanitarian role played by the Charity Drug Bank in supplying medications to patients through free medical days conducted across the Kingdom.
Mr. Ashraf Al-Kilani, Chairman of the Charity Drug Bank, extended his gratitude to Dr. Al-Khatib for her warm reception. He provided a detailed overview of the bank’s humanitarian programs and initiatives aimed at enhancing pharmaceutical security for Jordanian society.
Al-Kilani highlighted the directives of the bank’s Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Prof. Nizar Mhaidat, emphasizing the importance of partnering with public, private, educational, and civil society institutions to implement awareness programs on the safe use of medication.
The meeting concluded with an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding between the Charity Drug Bank and the Faculty of Pharmacy to implement joint programs and projects that ensure pharmaceutical security in Jordan.
The meeting was attended by Executive Director Dr. Shahd Al-Qutishat, Chair of the Social Committee Dr. Lama Al-Boubili, and Chair of the Governance and Quality Control Committee Dr. Ghadeer Al-Zoubi.
