An interactive lecture for the Pharmaceutical studies students at Al-Ahliyya Amman University by Dr. Shadi Madiyeh

Under the guidance of Prof. Mohammad al-Tanani, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy and supervision of Dr. Mohammad Al-Salfiti, within the activities of the Career Guidance and Alumni Office, the Vice Executive Director for Research and Development at MS Pharma Company, Dr. Shadi Madiyeh presented an interactive motivational lecture for the students majoring in Pharmacy at Al-Ahliyya Amman University. The lecture was held on Wednesday 9/11/2022 in Mahmoud Darwish Auditorium, where Dr. Shadi discussed his experiences of his educational and career path, the obstacles he faced and how he developed his career in the field of the pharmaceutical industry on various stages. Dr. Shadi obtained his PhD degree from the University of Maryland, where he later joined the Glaxo Smith Kline (GSK) in the United States of America and then to the Hikma Pharmaceutical Company in Jordan and finally settling with MS Pharma in Jordan. Dr. Madiyeh advised the students to succeed in their educational and career life, gave the most important tips when searching for job opportunities and how to conduct job interviews. He ended his meeting by encouraging students to take the initiative and search for different opportunities, try to discover them, think and plan for the post-graduation phase. In conclusion, the students expressed their admiration to Dr. Shadi, asked him many questions and asked for his advice on different life aspects. Dr. Shadi concluded his visit on campus by exploring the Faculty of Pharmacy and its laboratories and met Prof. Mohammad Al-Tanani in his office, where they discussed possible areas of collaboration between the educational institutes and the industrial fields, especially in the field of pharmaceuticals from a scientific research perspective and training programs as well.
