Amman Al-Ahliyya University Shortlisted for 2025 Times Higher Education Awards Arab World for Three Pioneering Projects

In a new achievement that reflects its academic and research leadership, Amman Al-Ahliyya University has been shortlisted for the 2025 Times Higher Education Awards Arab World for three distinguished and pioneering projects in the fields of innovation, sustainability, and internationalization. The shortlisted projects are: • Navigating Blue Oceans: AAU’s Strategic International Leap A project by Dr. Fairooz Abu Sowilem, highlighting the university’s efforts in building strategic academic partnerships and expanding its global presence. • From Grape Waste to Wellness A project by Dr. Rima Al-Omari, introducing an innovative approach to recycling grape waste into sustainable, health-promoting products. • Enhancing Agricultural Sustainability via Biological Treatment of Olive Mill Wastewater A project by Dr. Murad Al-Maaytah, aiming to biologically treat olive mill wastewater to generate clean energy and natural animal feed. This recognition reaffirms the university’s advanced standing in academic and scientific excellence and its ongoing commitment to developing innovative solutions that address environmental and developmental challenges both locally and globally.
