Al-Nsour sponsors the opening of the seventh annual international scientific conference of the Jordanian Society for Educational Sciences in Al-Ahliyya Amman

On behalf of His Excellency Mr. Faisal Al-Fayez, Speaker of the Senate, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Nsour, Deputy Speaker of the Senate, sponsored on Wednesday, 3 May 2023, the opening of the 7th annual international scientific conference organized by the Jordanian Society for Educational Sciences in cooperation with Al-Ahliyya Amman University under the title (Visions and Ideas for Hot Issues in Education: Competitiveness, Universality and Quality of Education in the Arab World between Reality and Hope). The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Dr. Azmi Mahafzah, His Excellency the Chairman of the Higher Education Accreditation and Quality Assurance Commission, Prof. Dr. Dhafer Al-Sarayra, and the President of the Jordanian Society for Educational Sciences, His Excellency Prof. Dr. Rateb Al-Saud. The meeting began with the royal anthem, followed by reciting verses from the Holy Quran read by student Adam Al-Hadidi, where the master of ceremonies, Dr. Nadia Kharbat began by mentioning the objectives of the association and invited the President of the Conference, Prof. Dr. Rateb Al-Saud, to deliver his speech, in which he presented the most important subjects that this conference will address and the most important issues that will be discussed by the attendees, referring to the reality of education in the Arab world, and what it needs to grow in light of the challenges it faces. The President of Al-Ahliyya Amman University, Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, welcomed the sponsor of the ceremony, Their Excellencies, researchers and attendees from various Arab countries. During his speech, he stressed that the university has always interacted and cooperated with local community institutions in sponsoring seminars and conferences that would contribute to proposing realistic solutions to the most important challenges facing our Arab societies. During the speech of the conference sponsor, His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Al-Nsour noted that education in the Arab world faces difficult challenges in light of global competitiveness, and stressed on the importance to join the efforts of all concerned parties in the educational process, educational policy makers and cadres working in the educational sector at all levels. For his part, His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Prof. Azmi Mahafza, gave a presentation on the most important challenges facing higher education in Jordan, the Arab world and the world after presenting the current reality, where he also pointed to the strengths that he believes must be exploited and built upon. Eighty-one researchers from various Arab countries will participate in the three-day conference, which will be held at the Crowne Plaza Dead Sea Hotel, and it is expected to come up with a set of recommendations that address global competitiveness issues in education.
