Al-Hourani Group and Umniah Strengthen Partnership Dating Back to 2010 to Support Digital Transformation

Al-Ahliyya Amman University hosted a delegation from Umniah, a Beyon company, at the invitation of Al-Hourani Group, in a meeting that brought together Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Al-Hourani Group; John Dellev, Chief Executive Officer of Umniah; and a delegation from the company. The meeting focused on ways to further develop the longstanding partnership between the two sides, which dates back to 2010, and explore new opportunities for leveraging technology to support digital transformation. The delegation was received by the University’s Advisor, Professor Dr. Sari Hamdan; Mr. Nader Sweidan, Director of the Arena Complex; and Mr. Hossam Al-Sayed. Al-Hourani Group and Umniah have maintained a partnership for more than 15 years, during which their areas of cooperation have continued to evolve. The meeting reflects the two parties’ commitment to further strengthening this relationship and exploring innovative ways to leverage technology and digital solutions to meet the Group’s business needs and support its future aspirations. John Dellev, Chief Executive Officer of Umniah, said: “We are proud of our longstanding partnership with Al-Hourani Group, which has continued since 2010 and reflects our shared commitment to developing new approaches to collaboration and leveraging technology to support digital transformation. We look forward to continuing our work with the Group to provide innovative solutions that meet its business needs and contribute to supporting the Kingdom’s aspirations and His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision of building a more competitive and sustainable digital economy.” For its part, Al-Hourani Group continues to expand and develop its businesses and investments, making its partnership with Umniah an important platform for addressing business needs and leveraging technology to enhance efficiency, growth, and digital transformation. Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Al-Ahliyya Amman University and Al-Hourani Group, said that the partnership with Umniah represents a model of long-term cooperation between the business and technology sectors. He emphasized the importance of continuously expanding areas of cooperation in line with the rapid developments taking place in technology and digital transformation. He added that the partnership extends beyond its commercial and technological dimensions to include education, youth empowerment, and skills development, thereby strengthening integration between the business sector and educational institutions. The partnership between the two sides is not limited to cooperation in telecommunications and business solutions, but also extends to supporting education and developing young people’s skills. It also encompasses initiatives with a broader social impact. Umniah provides scholarships in Dentistry through Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in addition to a cybersecurity program offered by Umniah’s Cybersecurity Academy to the University’s students. The program benefits 35 undergraduate and postgraduate students through 40 hours of theoretical and practical training. The program covers an introduction to cybersecurity, Security Operations Centers (SOCs), and cybersecurity penetration testing. Umniah provides the business sector with an integrated portfolio of telecommunications and information and communications technology solutions, including cloud computing, cybersecurity, managed solutions, and connectivity services. These solutions help organizations develop their businesses, enhance operational efficiency, and leverage technology to keep pace with digital transformation. Umniah draws on the strength of its network and its capabilities in information technology and digital services to provide these solutions, enabling the company to work with its partners to develop solutions that respond to their needs and align with their future aspirations. Through this new phase of their partnership, Al-Hourani Group and Umniah are working to develop new approaches to collaboration and expand their areas of partnership in ways that support digital transformation, enhance growth opportunities, and contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s aspirations and His Majesty King Abdullah II’s vision of a more competitive and future-ready economy.
