Al-Ahliyya Amman University Wins First Place in the Universities’ Women’s Esports Championship
His Royal Highness Prince Omar bin Faisal, President of the Jordan Esports Federation, crowned the winners on Friday in the final round of the first edition of the “Zain Esports University Championship.” The finals were hosted at the headquarters of the Jordan Esports Federation at the King Hussein Business Park in Amman.
Al-Ahliyya Amman University student Lidia Al-Ufeeshat won the women’s title, securing first place with outstanding performance.
The championship featured the participation of one thousand five hundred male and female players from ten public and private Jordanian universities.
The tournament began two weeks ago, with preliminary rounds held at eight universities. Ten female players and ten male players qualified for the final day in the EA SPORTS FC 26 competition.
The results were as follows:
• Women’s Category:
First place: Lidia Al-Ufeeshat – Al-Ahliyya Amman University
Second place: Rowand Abu Hasna – Applied Science University
Third place: Jana Al-Saif – University of Petra
• Men’s Category:
First place: Rakan Qubaili – German Jordanian University
Second place: Moatasem Al-Haj – Applied Science University
Third place: Hamza Al-Sarayreh – University of Jordan
It is also noteworthy that Ali Shibli, a student from Al-Ahliyya Amman University, presented the closing ceremony of the championship.
