Al-Ahliyya Amman University Students Win Gold in Taekwondo at Jordanian Universities Championship
Students from Al-Ahliyya Amman University delivered an impressive performance at the Jordanian Universities Taekwondo Championship (Men and Women), recently organized by the Jordanian University Sports Federation in collaboration with the Jordan Taekwondo Federation and hosted by the German Jordanian University.
The men’s team clinched third place overall, earning three medals:
• Gold Medal: Mohammad Eid Suleiman Al-Hajayleh – Under 63 kg category
• Silver Medal: Mohammad Ibrahim Al-Sha’lan – Under 87 kg category
• Bronze Medal: Abdulrahman Musab Al-Hayari – Over 87 kg category
The women’s team also secured third place overall, collecting three medals:
• Gold Medal: Layan Mahmoud Naeem Hamzeh – Under 49 kg category
• Bronze Medals:
o Joud Mohammad Khair Abu Al-Dhahab – Under 53 kg category
o Joanna Raed Kurdiyeh – Under 62 kg category
These outstanding achievements reflect the ongoing support provided by Al-Ahliyya Amman University to its student-athletes, under the leadership of Dr. Maher Al-Hourani, Chairman of the Board of Directors, and Prof. Dr. Sari Hamdan, University President, as well as Prof. Dr. Mustafa Al-Atiyat, Dean of Student Affairs. The results were also made possible through the dedication and supervision of sports coordinators Mr. Suhaib Al-Tarawneh and Ms. Areen Qutaishat, who play a key role in nurturing athletic excellence on campus.
