Al-Ahliyya Amman University signs memorandum of understanding with Lab 612 for Ideas Foundation/ Karama Human Rights Festival

Al-Ahliyya Amman University and the Foundation of Laboratory 612 for Ideas/ Karama Human Rights Festival signed a memorandum of understanding on Wednesday, January19, 2022. The memorandum was signed by Professor Sari Hamdan, President of the University, and Ms. Sussan Darwaza, Director General of the Foundation. Dr. Abdulsalam Al-Shboul Dean of the Faculty of Architecture and Design, Dr. Anas Al Saud Assistant President for Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Kareem Fadhil Head of the Department of Cinema, TV, and Theatre Design, attended the ceremony. The memorandum comes in accordance with the policy of opening up to the institutions of the local and international communities that are associated with the specialization of Cinema, TV, and Theatre design. This policy was adopted by the Department in fulfillment of the vision of the college and the university, which would benefit the students of the Department and would open up training opportunities for them and contribute to readying them for the local and international labor markets. The memorandum also supports the orientation of the Department and College towards local and international accreditations. The Department seeks to activate the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding by working in partnership with the said institution towards organizing the first edition of Al-Ahliyya Amman University Short Film Festival, to be held in 2022.
