Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s Faculty of Nursing Participates in World Alzheimer’s Day

In line with the vision of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al-Hussein in supporting Alzheimer’s patients and enhancing community awareness about the disease, as well as part of our University’s ongoing efforts in this field, including its hosting of the National Dialogue on Alzheimer’s in Jordan under the Royal Patronage of Her Highness last April. The university, represented by pharmacist Hanin Al-Momani from the Women’s Health Center / Faculty of Nursing, participated in the World Alzheimer’s Day event. The event was organized by the Ministry of Social Development at the Ministry’s Theater, under the patronage of H.E. Minister Wafa Bani Mustafa, with broad participation from official and civil society institutions. In her speech, Minister Bani Mustafa emphasized the importance of raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and supporting patients and their families in effectively addressing its challenges. She also stressed the need to strengthen cooperation among all concerned parties to confront the health and social dimensions of the disease. She further pointed out that lighting the Ministry’s building in purple on this occasion carried a symbolic message affirming the Ministry’s commitment to Alzheimer’s patients and to supporting their care and wellbeing.
