Al-Ahliyya Amman University Ranks First in Jordan and 401–500 Worldwide in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026
Al-Ahliyya Amman University has achieved an unprecedented academic milestone by securing first place among Jordanian universities and a position in the 401–500 band globally in the Times Higher Education (THE) World University Rankings 2026, one of the most prestigious international academic rankings. This accomplishment is the result of the University’s ambitious strategic vision to support scientific research and enhance teaching quality, alongside excellence in academic performance and international collaboration. It also reflects the distinguished scholarly standing the University has attained and its continuous efforts to advance higher education and research in Jordan and the region.
University President Prof. Sari Hamdan and Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Maher Hourani affirmed that this progress reflects the University’s commitment to its mission of excellence, creativity and innovation, noting that investment in scientific research and outstanding academic staff has been the principal driver behind this achievement, which strengthens the University’s position on the global higher-education map.
The University’s delegation to the results-announcement ceremony included, in addition to Chairman of the Board of Directors Dr. Maher Hourani and University President Prof. Sari Hamdan, Prof. Ahmad Samed Abu Orabi, Dean of Scientific Research; Dr. Ahmad Mansour, Director of the Sustainability and International Rankings Center; and Eng. Ahmad Maher Al-Hourani.
