Al-Ahliyya Amman University provides national libraries with scientific and cultural books

The Local Community Service Committee of the Business School at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, in collaboration with the University Library, launched an initiative to support national libraries in the Kingdom, in early February 2022, providing nearly 400 books to the Cultural Center of the Petra Provincial Authority and the Maan Municipal Library. The donated books were of varied topics, including scientific, cultural, and historical books.The initiative, which was supervised by Dean of the College, Dr. Hussein Al-Yasin, aims to enrich libraries and provide them with the needed books and references on different topics, and meet the needs of library visitors and their orientation.During the initiative, the university delegation met with a number of officials from the departments visited in Maan Province, including Mr. Musa Al-Farajat, Director of Public Relations at the Petra Region Authority, and Mr. Mohammad Al-Sharari, Office Manager of the Mayor of Maan. The delegation gave a detailed presentation on the specialties created at the university, such as the major in Hospitality Management and Culinary Arts, because of its significance in providing the region with technical and scientific staff, as Petra is the most important tourist attraction in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
