Al-Ahliyya Amman University Participates in the Ninth Jordanian International Civil Engineering Conference
The Faculty of Engineering at Al-Ahliyya Amman University participated in the Ninth Jordanian International Civil Engineering Conference, held recently at the Royal Hotel in Amman. Representing the university were Professor Bashar Al-Tarawneh, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Head of the Civil Engineering Division at the Jordan Engineers Association, along with Dr. Takwa Al-Hadidi, Head of the Civil Engineering Department, and several engineers from the department.
The conference, themed "Towards Resilience and Sustainability in Civil Engineering", addressed a variety of critical topics, including:
• Adapting to climate change and the reuse of treated wastewater.
• Water resource management and sustainability in Jordan.
• Evaluating, rehabilitating, and sustaining buildings.
• Enhancing earthquake resistance of concrete structures using artificial intelligence technologies.
• Employing environmentally friendly building materials and techniques to achieve sustainable and green cities.
• Assessing the impact of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project on traffic conditions.
• Managing risks in construction projects through FIDIC contracts.
This participation aligns with the university's mission to advance scientific research and engage with contemporary issues in civil engineering at both local and international levels.
