Al-Ahliyya Amman University Implements a Regular Water Quality Monitoring Program Aligned with National and International Standards
As part of its continuous commitment to applying the highest environmental safety standards and ensuring the sustainability of water resources, Al-Ahliyya Amman University has implemented an ongoing program for monitoring and analyzing the quality of treated water within the university campus.
The program is conducted on a monthly and quarterly basis by the Pharmacological and Diagnostic Research Center (PDRC) in collaboration with the Hourani Center for Applied Scientific Research, through comprehensive laboratory testing to ensure that the treated water meets Jordanian standards and the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines.
This initiative is part of the university’s broader efforts to achieve the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation) by adopting a scientific and transparent approach to wastewater management and the reuse of treated water for irrigation across the campus.
The university administration emphasized that this program reflects Al-Ahliyya Amman University’s ongoing commitment to promoting sustainable environmental practices and reinforces its position as a leading model among Jordanian universities in applying environmental quality and green university standards.
